Venergy Brings Construction Presentation to Wolf Creek Local Schools Board

On Monday evening, the Wolf Creek Local Schools Board of Education was presented by Venergy, a national construction firm, regarding a major renovation project for Waterford High School at the monthly meeting. Representatives Gary Orr, Director of Sales, and Adam Grubb, Project Manager, brought the budget and potential changes that had been discussed.

What Services Does Venergy Offer?

Venergy is a national firm with a regional office in Columbus, which offers its services to over 35 customers across the southeastern United States. The company’s primary focus is on retail and commercial buildings. In addition to the renovations for Waterford High School, Venergy has provided services for projects such as infrastructure, electrical, and plumbing.

First and Third Floor Bathroom Renovations

The $852,796 renovation project will renovate the first and third floor bathrooms in the high school building, along with a conference room. Among the proposed features are private bathroom stalls with 24-30 inches of space for additional privacy. The board discussed potential colors and floor types for the project. It is expected that the contract between Waterford High School and Venergy will be finalized once the board votes at its Nov. 20 meeting.

Final Thoughts

The board and Superintendent Doug Baldwin expressed their appreciation to Venergy representatives for offering their services. However, the presentation raised some discrepancy that will need to be further discussed before the board members make the final decision. Wolf Creek Local Schools is taking the necessary steps to bring the project into fruition with Venergy and bring new amenities to Waterford High School.
